I took my dog Wesley to the vet the other day to get inspected so he can go on a plane with us.

This is a routine inspection - no shots, mainly just paper work.

I figured it would take about 15 mins, but I was way off.

I was there for 2 hours..... an unplanned 2 hours of waiting.

Patience is one of my super powers but it was forsure tested as I sat on curb with Wesley, staring at our shadows - literally.

As I waited I got to thinking about patience.

All the best things in life require patience - whether that be your dream physique, a college degree, or that new house you have always wanted.

War strategist played chess to practice patience in a time of war.

Why.... because with patience comes planning and careful thought... rushing into battle without first having a strategy was a recipe for death.

Same goes for a college degree.... you cannot simply jump into college and expect a degree in 4 years... you need to plan out the required classes, talk with counselors, take pre requisite classes for certain classes, and succeed at every class before you are successful.

Having a dog has taught me new levels of patience and the art slowing things down.

Be present, enjoy your surroundings, take the time to process your thoughts, or maybe even smell the flowers like Wesley for a moment.

If you want that body you have always wanted its going to take time. It does not happen overnight. You will make small wins and losses before you reach the finish line.

If your having trouble right now, have faith in the process, trust the work, and have patience.
