I’ll go first. I am a physical therapist, celiac, powerlifter, and coach. I am loud, I like to sleep in, I like all animals except bugs, and I’d rather stay home than go out. I like to be in charge and help others. And I am a huge fan of keeping things simple. ⁣
⁣
Now I want you to look at the people you admire, the people you want to be. How would you describe them? What are the traits that they have that you like?⁣
⁣
What small actions can you take to be like them?⁣
⁣
For example, you want to be a powerlifter. So you download an app that  provides you with a basic program. You start following powerlifters on instagram. You start going to the gym more. Then you fall down the powerlifting rabbit hole.⁣
⁣
Or you want to be a leader. So you read books. Listen to podcasts. Reflect on what you learn. Implement the things you learn. Get feedback from the people you lead and apply it.⁣
⁣
Becoming more of who you want to be is down to starting to incorporate more small actions that reflect that persona. Each small action you take brings you more and more to this goal. It adds up. It may not always be easy. Time, money, readiness to change all factor in to how likely it is going to happen.⁣
⁣
And, one of the key parts, you need to value and actually want to have these traits. If you’re doing this because someone else or society, makes you think you need to do it. That’s not going to work out well. ⁣
⁣
I’ll give you an example. I have continually tried to make myself a morning person. Now, I am capable of waking up early for my work, and have to. But I do not roll out of bed easily. I have tried all the things, but it is not something I value that highly for myself. I value my sleep more. ⁣
⁣
I want you to look back at things that did not stick that you tried to force on yourself. Think about why. Think about what got in the way. Is there something else that you value more for yourself? Follow that.⁣
⁣
If there is something that you want and value in this life, what do you need to do to make that a reality? Make a plan and make it happen.
It’s all about perspective, and positive thoughts attract positive feelings. 👀 Changing your view on life and being grateful for the little things will eventually result in a wholesome life. Focus on the things you can control and let those that you can’t work themselves out ⌛️.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I’ve travelled and adventured. ⁣⁣

I’ve worked hard at being relaxed.⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
I’ve also moved in to a new apartment (in a new country), while growing my business, serving my clients, taking on new business opportunities, developing new relationships, and maintaining the training of my own body & mind.⁣⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣⁣
My overall work rate slipped during the 6 weeks but I told myself that I’ve worked hard for the free time. ⁣⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣⁣
Turns out that stepping away from work actually makes me feel less free.⁣⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣⁣
That guilt that takes over, like we should be doing more/less/something different than we are.⁣⁣⁣⁣

I’m not even sure I have the answers to these contradictory issues that we all face and maybe it’s just the human condition at play. What I do know is that staying still is never the answer. That action is always the remedy. That 2020 still has legs no matter where we’re at in our respective journeys...⁣⁣⁣⁣
