How I moved to New Zealand because of a TV series and it was meant to be… (part2)
Well, after 1 year spent in NZ and 2 weeks before leaving the country I flew to the South Island for a solo road trip. I had only been living & traveling in the North Island. I landed in (beautiful) Queenstown and the next day, late afternoon I drove to a small town called Glenorchy, unsure of what I would see there. On the way, I stopped as I passed by a beach. The weather wasn’t great but “IT” caught my attention. I parked and instantly felt like I knew this place… “Wait, could it be?”… “How random?”…”Google it!”…
But no Internet… Just me, myself, and I to enjoy this beautiful place and the intense feeling it was providing me with. I ended up driving to Glenorchy, and, once back at the hostel, I had to know… Why this feeling, in that place I had never been to?
It wasn’t random anymore, it was true! The reason I came to New Zealand was because of the landscapes in that TV Series and this last trip gifted me with exactly what I needed: a sign I came to the right place. The scenery on that beach is why I came to New Zealand. Somehow, this scenery is one of the first scenes in Top of the lake. “I remembered the landscape I had seen 2 years prior in a TV Series I had watched, once, randomly, from my small village back in France. “ THIS was why I came to New Zealand, and I was going to leave New Zealand knowing it was all meant to be… What a way to be at peace with it!
Feel it, do it and appreciate it. Be where you are supposed to be by following your guts. Open your eyes to the little signs on the way in order to experience your happiness exploration to its fullest.
