. "Hi I’m Aimee Grace, I’m 33 years old and live with psoriasis. As you can see it can effect my face pretty badly, which can be impossible to hide. So I’ve had to learn to live with a facial flare. When this first happened to me it was really hard to accept, I could barely look at myself in the mirror. Then for the first few weeks, while at work or in the street people would laugh, call me ugly or be scared incase I was contagious. I even received online death threats and was told to kill myself. But I soon learned that if I focused on the positive compliments and accepted my appearance, peoples opinion of me changed. They looked at me in a different way, no longer with fear but with respect and admiration. Don’t get me wrong there were still cruel comments but they no longer stood out to me and I focused on all the kind, loving and positive comments given instead. It’s not easy but self love is key to fighting back!"
