So I recently made this super cute Vintage Valentine’s Day jumper and I am IN LOVE with it 🥰 Here’s a quick run through of what i did and how you can make one too! .
♥️1st pic: Final result with Straps I custom made to my own liking, horsehair braid on the hem and a zipper on the side! .
♥️2nd Pic: I used this vintage Butterick pattern and used only the bottom of the dress to make my skirt! I used about 3 3/4 yards of Fabric, 4 yards of Hair hair braid and a 6inch zipper! I’m a size 4 so I had to make the pattern smaller for myself but it was fairly simple! I made the straps 32in long to criss cross in the back and 2.5in wide (Seam allowance)

♥️ 3rd pic: The difference of horsehair braid! I didn’t like the drape of the fabric and I wanted more volume so I added horsehairbraid to the hem! It can also be used to stiffen fabric and create drama!
