I wanted to a create post that demonstrated the benefits of eating a wide variety of whole foods! By incorporating different types of fruits, leafy greens, veggies, starches like sweet potato, nuts and protein sources, you’ll have your bases covered and be on your way to feeling and looking your best!

Breakdown below:

Healthy hair - spinach (folate, iron, Vitamin A & C help promote hair growth), avocado (Vitamin E protects scalp from oxidative stress), & salmon (omega-3 fatty acids linked to hair growth)
.
Healthy eyes - eggs (lutein & vitamin A which protect eyes & support function), citrus foods (contain vitamin C which lowers risk of cataracts and degeneration), & pistachios (Vitamin E boost eye health).
.
Healthy brain - salmon (omega-3s build brain & nerve cells, essential for learning & memory), nuts (vitamin E shields cells from free radical damage), berries (antioxidants fight oxidative stress & may improve memory)
.
Healthy skin - sweet potatoes (beta-carotene helps to protect skin from sun damage), walnuts (fatty acids for healthy skin), broccoli (sulforaphane which protects skin).

Healthy lungs - green tea (quercetin acts as a natural antihistamine), broccoli/cruciferous veggies (glucosinolates which have been shown to fight off cancer/lung cancer)
