Let’s talk about the big benefits of the big booty muscles:
🔹better posture-Activated glutes help avoid posture issues like swayed back or forward tilting hips that can give an illusion of a “gut” that isn’t even there
🔹pain reduction and injury prevention-Strong glutes support the lower back. Without this support, “helper” muscles take over and may become overstressed leaving one with pain in hips, knees, and spine. Weak glutes also result in poor alignment in the lower body leaving one more prone to injuries such as sprains or tears .🔹improves athletic performance-That bottom of yours can generate a buttload of power (teehee, the pun). This power can come out in endurance, vertical distance, and speed. Strong glutes improve these abilities
🔹increased bone density-Lower body weight training can postpone or even in some cases reverse the effects of age-related bone loss

If you would have asked me three years ago, my response would have been way different than it is now. I would have said I am to busy or I don’t have time.😴 I was taking care of everyone else but forgetting to take care of myself. .

We often forget about ourselves and put ourselves last and we end of running on empty. It’s like building a house without a foundation right, it probably won’t last long! Everyone needs a good foundation or support system. Doing life alone or by yourself is hard. We’re not meant to do this life alone, I encourage you to ask for help even if it’s hard or you don’t want too. .

I challenge you to grab your calendar and pencil out some “ME” time. Maybe you start with 30 minutes once or twice per week. You will get better with this task and learn that by giving yourself a break allows you to have more energy to do the other things in your life that may just feel out of reach. .

@brand_17c had an intense circuit of squats, box step ups and Bulgarian deadlifts
@aliciamichele917 did her heaviest hip thrust to date.  And although she didn’t seem confident with the weight initially, she did an amazing job!  Her circuit included the hip thrust, single leg presses and weighted sumo squats.
@destinyeshae_  really challenged her hip thrust and got up to 235lb x 10 reps. 💪🏾 Her circuit included hip thrusts, single leg presses and Bulgarian split squats with deadlifts.

I mentioned that it was kind of a trial month for me because I wanted to make sure I was headed in the right direction to hit my goals, and when I got my results back I had a little celebratory moment for myself.
