Thank you so much to everyone that read and shared all of my facts every day about metastatic breast cancer throughout the month of October. I hope you were able to learn at least a little bit about this disease. Metastatic breast cancer is not pink and it is definitely not pretty. It kills 116 men and women every day yet only about 7% of funds raised are typically put towards research. Let’s change the “face of awareness” and let’s pay attention to where our money is going when we donate to a breast cancer foundation or fundraiser. The only ones dying of breast cancer are those of us that are metastatic and I think that we deserve a lot more.
