This picture is from 2011, in my old neighborhood of Creek Row, where we could still see CPIM flags and bookstalls few months after their final defeat. Much has changed in politics since then as we know, and I left a few months later freezing this time as my idea of my hometown. But if I am to hazard the guess of a continuity, the odd admixture of pujo and left politics still define the city.
