The Kaieteur Falls in Guyana is, counted by the volume flowing over it, the largest single drop waterfall in the world. It is also one of the most powerful waterfalls in the world with an annual average of 663 thousand litres of water going over the edge every second! It is 226 meters tall, making it 4.5 times as high as the Niagara Falls and more than twice as high as the Victoria Falls. Best of all is, while Niagara Falls are surrounded by massive parking lots, the Kaieteur Falls are located in the middle of pristine Amazon Rainforest. You cant even access the place by car. Sir David Attenborough supposedly once said that the cave behind this waterfall is the last place on earth not yet explored by humans. Can you see the man in a red jacket on the photo?
