For many of the “Greatest Generation” that event occurred almost 75 years ago when the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor, December 7, 1941. Some recall the exact moment they heard President John F. Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas, Texas, November 22, 1963.

But for many of us, that impactful moment of our lives occurred on the morning of September 11, 2001 when four hijacked commercial aircraft hit the World Trade Center Towers in New York City, the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. and crashed in a field near Shanksville, Pennsylvania.
