For this commission, I had a dickens of a time figuring out how to mash-up my favorite mutie team, Excalibur, with “Sandman’s” delightful Death but I think I kinda made it work.
One of the Excalibur story arcs was “The Cross-Time Caper” where our heroes find themselves randomly skipping through different realities. So, why not have them fighting some Warwolves as they accidently crash into Death’s realm? (Side note: I love that Death’s realm is just a small apartment. All the other Endless have vast and intricate domains but Death? One bedroom apartment.)
Since the characters are from two different comics universes, I figured they’d exist perpendicular to each other (and the picture can hang either portrait or landscape).
