Insecure attachment/ Fears of abandonment.
These are the common associations with Insecure attachment. ‘Borderline Personality Disorder’ is not something that causes insecure attachment in itself, but rather is a diagnosis typically given to people who have experienced a history of abandonment of neglect, invalidating caregivers, adoption/ orphanage/ foster care.
People with a diagnosis of ‘Borderline Personality Disorder’ do not have disordered personalities. They have typically experienced trauma and are responding to very difficult/ abnormal situations in very normal/ valid ways.
