The spine is made up of 3 basic sections:
🔸 Cervical = Neck
🔹 Thoracic = Mid back
🔸 Lumbar = Low back
Each area of our spine has a certain amount of curve it is supposed to have.
In the low back and neck, this is called Lordosis, which means a backwards curve.
The mid back region has a Kyphosis, or a forward curve.
As we lead our sedentary lifestyles, our spine can lose its proper curve, or gain too much curve.
Forces are then displaced unevenly throughout the body if our spine deviates from its natural place
Keeping our body, and thus spine, balanced is important to avoid chronic injury from occurring later in life.
