You can program your brain for happiness by thought and feeling alone. How?

These little feet.. always ready for adventure. How I love my kids so much. Any other parents become so overwhelmed with pure Love that it brings you to tears? 🙋🏼‍♀️😭❤️
Consumed with LOVE and Joy that I have tears streaming down my face. I love this feeling! 
In these moments I consciously have to remind myself that my tears are happy and to feel the feeling with all my being as good.
Why? 
Why be mindful of this and remind myself in the moment?

All my life I was told “you’re fine, don’t cry”, told not to feel, suck it up, tears are weak, told I’m “too sensitive” or “I’ll give you something to cry about”. I’m not the only one, many of us can relate, I’m sure. 
My own tears set off a signal of danger when they come. Even the happy ones.

Ever heard of the thought/feeling/feeling/thought Loop? -Have a thought and it creates an emotion/feeling 
And
Feel and emotion and it creates a thought
Both positive and negative. 
Makes sense right?

Did you know that the body can NOT tell the difference between a real event versus a made up scenario in our mind? 
Get stuck in a negative thought process, it creates negative emotions. Then negative emotions create more negative thoughts. Thus the loop/cycle continues and perpetuates. Actually wiring your brain for fear, judgement, resentment, victim mode, worry, chaos, trauma, sadness... the chemicals released in this moment are addicting and we can and will become 100% addicted to them the more often they occur. It’s fight or flight 24/7, only you’re not actually running from or fight a bear. Instead, you’re running from or fighting yourself and your own thoughts and feelings pre-programmed from childhood or past trauma.

The same is true for happiness. Hence why in those moment of LOVE, HAPPINESS, JOY, COMPASSION, CARE, KINDNESS etc... I consciously choose to remind myself to FEEL the emotion so deeply, while pairing it with as many overwhelmingly positive thoughts as possible. This act alone re-programs and re-wires negative brain pathways the very second they occur.
