On August 17, 1999 Mobb Deep dropped Murda Muzik. It is the duo’s most commercially successful album having gone platinum twice. This was one of the first cassette tapes I bought after I got my drivers license in 1999. I drove my 1986 S-10 pickup down to On-Cue Music to grab the new Kool Keith which had dropped recently too. I left with Mobb Deep, Kool Keith and P.O.D. tapes that day. Only two of these three have stood the test of time musically! #murdamuzik
