This dinner was kind of a mix of things but delicious non the less.
The most flavorful chicken(for reeeeeal), summer squash, and Spanish rice with avocado.
These avocados came straight from my grandparents yard in Puerto Rico. 🥰😍
Growing up we were taught the Spanish word for avocado is “aguacate”. I never used the word “avocado” nor knew what the word was. 🙈
In elementary school we were asked, “What’s your favorite food?”
My answer was obviously “aguacate”! I went on to explain to the teacher what it was because she had never heard of this obscure food before. 🤦🏽♀️
She asked, “Oh is that like an avocado?”
Me: “Hmm, I don’t know.🤷🏽♀️”..........
