difficult truth: you will not be for everyone. you will rub some people the wrong way. you will activate aspects of them they’d rather not be curious about. who you are will be an affront to someone’s philosophies. and some will be unforgiving when you’re not your best self.

our ego will want to fight against this fact. it will want the affirmation of their approval. it will want to defend against being misunderstood. we might drive ourselves bonkers ruminating about what we could’ve done to offend them - but the truth is.. this is not our work.

our work is to find a deep state of clarity around the truth of who we are. to understand that other people’s projections are never actually about us, and just a series of values with which they’ve learned to experience other people.

the only persons respect, love, grace, and admiration that is ever within our control.. is our own. we can spend a lifetime chasing the approval of which we will never be truly certain. or we can make the decision to affirm the things we are or are not for ourselves ✨🙏🏽
