The ultimate marriage is one that is selfless in nature. There should be joy in providing for the other, and sacrificing for the other. When we begin to “keep score” or “take notes” or have a “mental tally” of to-do’s in our marriage it becomes more like a contract. I do this, and you do that. This isn’t healthy, nor sustainable. We must be very cautious if we find ourselves falling into this type of thinking. ⠀
