Of course the Fourth of July is always special, even in the middle of a world pandemic, no fireworks and not many people around. We did manage to go out for breakfast, to make homemade buns for the burgers and invite the neighbors for a cookout, though!
I realize now that not everyone in this nation is free! Freedom can actually mean different things to different people and in different areas of life!
Another realization is that freedom for many means a lack of freedom for others. And, freedom for many is more like a privilege that many others do not have. 😞
Personally, the freedom that most amazes me is the freedom that only One was able to give me! My freedom cost Him His life! My heart is filled with joy and peace because of the freedom I have in Jesus! And that’s the freedom I desire for ALL my friends and also my enemies! 😜
