I always have musical instruments available on the shelves at home and in my classes as it’s so important for creativity.

Maria Montessori believed that children should always have access to music and art, and as part of that, should be allowed the freedom to express themselves through the arts without restriction. Meaning that in art, there are no crafts, specific ways to draw or paint, or colouring sheets, and in music there is no teaching. Just freedom of expression. After all, my expression of a tree would be entirely different to yours.
