Alright..after a week of testing out watermelon as a beverage, here are my findings and suggestions!
First, blend watermelon chunks in a blender until liquified. Then seive it to remove some pulp which gives you watermelon juice the consistency of pulpy orange juice! I refrigerated it for days and just stirred when I needed to use it!
My preference was to keep it simple since strong citrus mixers were too bossy for light and refreshing watermelon so I decided to stick with mint, bubble, and sugar mainly from the watermelon!
Mocktail: muddle mint leaves (10-15) in a tablespoon of simple syrup, add a cup watermelon juice and top with plain seltzer.
Cocktail: same as above but my choice is to add a shot of gin and less watermelon.
Super simple fresh taste for both options and SO BEAUTIFUL to look at. So next time you have a quarter watermelon left over now you know what to do!
