I didn’t share this here last year, but yeah I didn’t grow in no “hood”. 😂None of my lyrics were about “reppin the streets” and I owe it to my folks. 😂 My mom was though...growing up in public housing in Harlem in the 1970s to early 90’s and my father in a good apartment in Flushing, Queens...granted it’s different now, but they’ve got intense stories. .
