Welp I did it !! How funny is that , I had a whole phobia about going live. I tell you social media has not always been my thing. I resisted it for the longest. I had a great time building with @supanovaslom and his extended family.
You know what made me rethink my relationship with digital connections?
I spoke at a college about two years ago and I have always had a provision in my agreements that no recording was permitted. Well I stopped speaking and asked a woman to put away her phone as per the rules.
That woman later apologized and told me that she was planning on sending the video to her daughter who has attended many of my lectures who at the time was battling depression.
I then realized that the message was not mine to control. I realized that every tool that can be collected for the purpose of building the people God called me to serve had to be used . I remembered my own mother , who also battled depression and I wished she had had more resources to help her heal.
So that’s how I came to be your bestie from afar . Sometimes in order to see the whole picture , you have to step out of the frame.
