Teak Refurb Stage 10: Scraping and belt sanding the excess caulking. So close now!
We had to wait a week for the caulking to cure properly, and then we used the multitool to scrape some of the excess before attacking it with the belt sander. We were in a bit of a rush to get it done before leaving the marina (need the shore power for the sander!) but this was when it finally felt like the work was paying off.
The deck being revealed underneath was SO satisfying! Still some finishing touches to do like the bead around the edges and applying a teak sealant. But there’s no urgency anymore and the result is already sweeeet👌

We’ll show the final result in the next post!
