This was one of our toughest weekends, to date, but we survived it and didn’t kill each other, lol. I rented a concrete saw, Friday, so we could cut the added slab of concrete driveway at a point that made sense. It was awful before. I knew it ALL had to go, especially seeing how good it looked with that part removed..........Which made it all the more difficult ‘cause we didn’t haul it off... we had to get creative and bury it avoiding water and power lines- but mercy if we didn’t cut the internet line slap in two x 2. Yup. It’s repaired though, but it had the boy panicking for a couple of hours, hah. The excavator track came off twice... a trip to Jeff City and Harbor Freight later, it was repaired. Two brush piles are gone, a huge stump burnt out, the back door frame installed, flower beds cleaned, Rose bush planted... sigh of relief..........and now 1/2 of the front yard looks nice. Can’t wait to get to the other front half, Lord knows it needs some help, but they are delivering wood for the deck, tomorrow. It’s time to finish removing the old one! Plus now I need to research grass seed. #😱 #diyprojects #homeimprovement #mytodolistkeepsgettinglonger #husbandoftheyear
