Food is one of most important parts in healing. It is one of the structures to build your recovery around. If you’re denying yourself healthy vibrant food it’s a big disadvantage to start the healing process. ⁣

There were many times in my 10 years battling chronic illness that I just couldn’t deal with life and food was one of the things that I leaned into. I ate unhealthy food because it helped me cope with my immense suffering. Until you’re put into that spot where life is not something you can cope with, it’s almost impossible to understand. I don’t judge others who eat unhealthy, why would I? We are all on our own journey and here to learn different life lessons. No one has a ‘smooth’ easy lesson from life.⁣

There will be a time when you’re starting to feel like you can cope better without the vice of unhealthy food. A time when other structures are put in place such as emotional safety or a connection to a soul mate. When that happens please go gentle and listen but don’t go crazy and put the body into survival mode. When we start eating healthy the body purges emotions, toxins and energy with it. This is very hard and should be done in a balanced holistic way so you can manage it. ⁣
