I’m going to share with you guys the latest books I read - spoiler: I love strong female characters 👩🏻 I just finished “10 minutes 38 seconds in this strange world” by @shafakelif , who is one of my favourite authors. I love her work. Her story telling is one of a kind, she creates complex and strong female characters carrying a difficult past. Most of her stories happen in Istanbul and are caught in between past and present, east and west.
In this book you will discover the life of Tequila Leila, a prostitue killed in Istanbul. As her brain begins to shut down she remembers bits of her life, and we understand her past and how it led her to where she is: her family, her desire to escape, a new city, love and loyal friends.
