Nicky Butt, the legendary Man Utd Midfielder and our current youth team coach recently spoke about his experience and the unjust criticism, the previous United Managers have faced during their time at the club.
Speaking to MUTV he gave an insight as to how Moyes, Van Gaal and Mourinho had different ways of indulging with the Youth team and had different philosophies regarding the Youth system.
He also stressed upon the fact that how he feels that the Managers were have targeted unfairly by the media regarding the involvement of the Youth and the Academy graduates in the first team. Talking about Mourinho he says that he used to be very friendly and usually used to ask him about his family on Breakfast every morning. The Midfielder also stressed as to how he thinks Ole wants to engrave the fundamentals set by Fergie during his time back at the club.
In our opinion, every manager has his own philosophies about the way the club should run and the fans, as well as the board, should trust the process with healthy criticism.
Do you think it is fair to criticise the post Fergie era managers for the way they ran the club during their reign?
