A year ago today, whilst we were in Las Vegas on our last night, this one proposed to me. It was definitely something I’d hinted at a few times (well, many times), but it was totally unexpected. From going out for a lovely dinner at Nobu at Caesars Palace with friends, to after dinner cocktails at Vanderpump and a walk back to the hotel, I will never forget the moment I was looking at the Bellagio fountains and I heard Chris ask someone to take a photo of us. I’d always said to him I wanted photos if we got engaged so I could always look back on the memories, so for a split second it crossed my mind but I shook it off - I mean for the last few months he’d made out he wasn’t sure about marriage! But when I turned round I was completely overwhelmed and speechless. To be honest to this day I don’t remember what he said because I was shaking, and the world seemed to go in slow mo like I was in a bubble. Then people around us started cheering and taking photos - it was actually perfect. And of course I had to say yes! .

The last few months and week in particular has been hard, but I’m so thankful I have you. You see people making jokes or sharing memes saying their partner is driving them crazy, but I can honestly say this experience has made me love you more if that’s possible, and I wouldn’t want to be in lockdown with anyone else. I actually think I’ll miss you when things get back to “normal”. And whilst I’m holding out hope we’ll get married in 227 days, whatever the future holds for us, it doesn’t matter as long as we have each other @chrisdefurr 💜
