I’ve been delving into the world of handmade paper the past few weeks. I’ve seen so many of you are picking up new or revisiting old hobbies as well! And it makes my maker heart so happy 💕
This picture is of my first few batches of handmade paper.
I tend to need a craft project to work on after writing and some days even instead of.
It’s something that allows that word precessing part of my brain to just float.
Plus it’s fun! I love the whole process and getting to see and hold the finished product in my hands.
I haven’t done a maker feature here in a while.
But since getting into paper making I’m slightly obsessed with a few paper makers on this platform. Today I’d like to feature @share.studios. She has been giving me major cool girl maker inspirations. Go to her page and website link to see her gorgeous paper and some paper making tools that are works of art themselves 🤤
I’ll be featuring her work in my story today and then adding that to my maker highlight.
I’m itching to buy one of her mould and deckles (she makes them by popular request in her studio and when you see them you’ll know why, is she badass or what?) I may also have some Kozo and Abaca in my cart 😏 (two plant fibers used to make fine paper) Have I fallen off the deep end of this hobby? Probably. 😉 .
