▪️description:
The sponge is a Gingerbread flavoured cake- texturally, really firm and dense. A nice chew, and really dense and feels more satisfying than the lighter sponge in the triple choc flavour bar. Flavour wise, it does have a distinctive gingerbread spice. .
Ontop of the sponge cake there’s A quite nice, Cream cheese frosting “icing” which adds moisture and nice balance to the gingerbread. Again, i use “icing” in quotations because it’s this weird semi-transparent, thick glacé icing situation- a bit like a donut topping rather than a cake icing. .
A white chocolate flavoured coating over everything which is a welcome additional sweetness, then Crunchy toasted almonds which add texture and flavour. .
