This afternoon I’m sipping on Honeybush Banana Nut from @adagioteas - sent to me by the most wonderful @sipsinthesun in one of our many tea swaps!

The smell of this tea is just delicious. It really does smell just like a freshly baked banana nut muffin or a loaf of banana bread. I’m not the biggest fan of honeybush, but it has its place, and this tea might just be it 🙂

I steeped for 4 minutes in almost boiling water. The fragrance of the steeped tea is more generically sweet than banana like.

Flavour wise - there’s a mellow honeybush flavour, followed by banana and nut flavours. It’s not sweet, but there’s the sweet association because of the flavours, and I found this was enough. I didn’t need to add any sugar or honey. It paired very well with banana bread, and made for a delicious afternoon tea!
