That’s my gateway to paradise every day. Today the rose garden was shut. It’s full of wooden benches and every day people who don’t realise the virus is everywhere were sitting on them ( including me, one day, before I knew that). That’s where Maeve and Otis, the magpies, hang out, so didn’t see them. And no Pip - that’s what I’ve decided to call the Robin. I didn’t even see Doris and Bert, the wood pigeons, who are always foraging around the ground under the Singing Tree. The Singing Tree was full of birds and birdsong on that first beautiful sunny morning. I did see a murder of crows though - ain’t no party like a crow party. Today was freezing and it actually snowed at one point. Still I wandered down the avenues of trees listening to The Byrds - thanks to @joshburt76 for the idea. Man! The Byrds made me very happy. Watched an interesting documentary on Eel Pie Island last night (thanks @street.anne ) which featured The Byrds, The Stones, Rod Stewart, Jeff Beck - worth a watch.
