throwback to the very first wedding photo i took 9 years ago. i wasn’t a wedding videographer then, just a student who met a couple. this was an engagement shoot. they didn’t hire me for their wedding following and i remember being really sad back then😅 I think I even told myself I wouldn’t do weddings... not only from the shoot but art school pushed me to artsier things, deeming this too commercial or some shit. I remember showing my engagement shoot to peeps at school and thet told me it was selling out to do weddings. Funny how five or six years later, my entire business is weddings primarily! And it is not selling out - I’ve met so many wonderful people and families, learnt so much the past five years! As much as I want to be “artistic”, there’s great joy knowing someone will have this video or photo for the rest of their lives. That to me means the most as an artist!
