Today is Chun-Li’s 5th birthday. I found her on the streets almost 2 years ago when she was very skinny and had a huge gash on her ear that looked like it was getting infected. She was so sweet and friendly I wanted to give her a home. I took her to the vet to get fixed up and we discovered she was microchipped. The vet contacted her former owner and they said she had been outside for the past year and they were not interested in taking her back. I adopted her and decided to name her Chun-Li which means “beautiful spring” in Chinese (a pretty name for a pretty girl). Her ear healed quickly with antibiotics and a good cleaning, her transition back into a house cat was seamless (she’s such a good girl). When I logged onto the website to update her name and the owner information associated with the microchip, I found her baby picture from the Humane Society where she was originally adopted from as well as her birth date 03/20/2015: the first day of spring 🌷 I adopted Ming-Li a couple months later as her companion.
