How to mentally cope while you self isolate?
.
.
I don’t usually go into issues like this because there are plenty others speaking on the subject and probably a lot more eloquently than myself.
.
.
This social distancing started out difficult from the start, the boys school closed immediately and we woke up to it pouring with rain. If you know me you know how much I hate this rainy cold weather when the boys are stuck inside. Plus the boys had already started the day early with screentime.
.
.
I’ve just done a 4 week stint at home with the kids in December, it was kinda like self isolation because I was fearful of going out with the boys alone for other safety reasons. Not to mention the majority of the first 6 months of last year when I was school hunting for the boys and had them at home with me as well.

It was really hard going, I’m not going to lie. I definitely shut down a little and went into survival mode a few times. So I know the maddening feeling of being isolated with crazy kids and I understand the importance of self care and metal awareness. It’s largely the reason behind my word for this year “improvement”
.
.
There’s a few schedules floating around to help with your mental well-being and I think they’d be useful to intentionally be aware and not lose yourself.
.
.
So live your day intentionally, keep in contact with friends and family. We are so lucky to have the technology we have so use it. Plan time for you so you can mentally regroup, even if it means screentime for kids lol. Of course most importantly DON’T TOUCH YOUR FACE 🤣🤣🤣 .... you want to now hey haha!
