When it comes to improving your health or eating in a way that facilitates a fat or weight loss goal, we all know fruits and vegetables are good for us! .

Or at least I hope we do! .

I mean it’s important enough for the government to put it in writing! .

However, in many cases this is an ‘easier said than done’ scenario. .

So for the most part, it’s mainly just going to be about making it as easy, practical and as accessible as possible to consume these plant sources and meet these guidelines. .

What I’ve found is that a lot of those who struggle; a) just generally fail to get sufficient fruits and vegetables into their daily intake through lack of application, or b) have to consider other people when designing their daily intake. .

For example, many people may have kids, either young or older who don’t fancy too many vegetables on their plate..
.
Others may have partners who simply don’t have the same goals as them, and therefore don’t have the desire to eat in the same way! .

You may live at home or with flat mates where other people cook for you - in which case, what is served is out of your control to a vast degree...
.
Or finally, the idea of meeting these recommendations might just be a bit daunting and you’re not quite sure where to start! .

So how can we combat this? 🧐
.
Well let’s control what we can first off! .

Breakfast and lunch tend to be meals of the day that are more independent and less social. .

So let’s take advantage of this and fill up on our targets at these times - making fruits and vegetables the bases of our meals. .

Really simply, 2 pieces of fruit at breakfast time shouldn’t be too difficult..
.
Just as incorporating 400g of vegetables should at lunch...(it’s really not as much as it sounds). .

And that’s it! .

That’s all you have to do! .

By the time you get to dinner, there becomes a lot less things to worry about, and a much greater ability to be flexible with the types of foods you are eating, knowing you have done the hard yards earlier in the day! .

So bring on the lasagna for dinner!! 😋😋
