Honestly though, Textile design is often mistaken for ‘fashion’ and I’ve heard too many times ‘oh you do textiles? You mean like fashion right’ or worse ‘aren’t they the same thing’ ✖️Nope! No they are not. I like to think of textile design as fashion’s favourite ally, best mate and a craft that takes hours, many hours of painstaking illustration and mathematical like fine tuning to finally comes together on fabric to make garments sing! 🌼 So, to all my textile design buddies - we have a great gig don’t we? And to all the fashion designers out there...here’s to many more ‘seamless’ collaboration.
