David Gilmour has had a big effect on me. In particular, his ethereal tones and approach to bending. I’m always aspiring to infuse that energy into my playing. I think you can hear some of that influence in this clip. The touch sensitivity of this PRS 594 helps bring out those dynamics and is so addicting. It puts me into this mode where my pick attack gets softer and softer but notes still bloom and ring. It’s hard to believe a guitar can look, sound, and play this nice. I’ve got the tone knob around 4 going into a Vemuram Jan Ray and Ceriatine Centura, which helps add more midrange to these super clear pickups. .
