What do you leave behind after 21 years? Memories? Time? Heartbreaks? Dreams?
I think you leave behind yourself, the one you have been for those two decades. The place holds you, the place never lets you go. But you move on, rather, you think that you move on, to places, to cities.
And then, in solitary nights, and in evenings when cowardice prevails, you will want to take refuge in the decades which have seen all, the strongest you, the weakest you, and while letting you go, it will give you the greatest gift, love, it will tell you that you can fall in love again, and you bring your love to the place, to the walls, and the rooms, and the doors, and you make love in the shambles as only Gods could make love, before moving forward to the future creation, before leaving the result of their love for others.
