 To be honest, despite what some people will try to lead you to believe, the process of losing fat is actually very simple. The most difficult part is sticking to a plan and being patient.

A lot of people have no issues during the week but then go overboard on the weekends. There’s no problem with living life and enjoying yourself but if you go too crazy on weekends, it can certainly be enough to erase the progress you worked so hard for during the week. Enjoy yourself but do so within reason.

Second, it’s a common misconception for people to skip weight training and only do cardio when trying to lose weight. This is a mistake. Without weights, your body has no reason to hold onto any muscle you’ve built. Further, weight lifting is a great way to burn calories just like cardio. You should do cardio too but it’s not one or the other.

Lastly, and most importantly, this takes time. If you have 30 pounds to lose, you won’t lose it by tomorrow. Focus on losing about 1% of your body weight per week, stay consistent, and before you know it, you’ll reach your goal. We all want immediate results but that’s just not how it works.
