Vulnerability. Authenticity. Transparency. Words God has been teaching me these past few years. Breaking off performance and shame that I’ve carried my whole life. Slowly but surely He’s breaking off the fear of man and what people think about me. Each and everyday He’s breaking off masks of self protection I’ve worn for years. I’m slowly beginning to see myself through His eyes. Fully seen and fully known. Fully His. That’s what He wants from all of us. We can’t be rejected when we are accepted in Him. He’s where I find my identity. So from my heart to yours, stop striving for people’s approval. You will never make everyone happy. Jesus who was God in the flesh and absolute perfection was rejected and despised by many. Then He was crucified. If people didn’t like Him the epitome of perfection, then I can’t expect them to approve of me either. But I’m learning I don’t need that. I have the approval of the Creator of the universe who says “I am good.” Stop looking for approval from man and see yourself through the eyes of your Heavenly Father. When He looks at you, He sees His Son. You are good. You are enough. You are worth the blood of His Jesus. You are fully seen and fully loved.
