š„§Chicken Slices š„§
Iāve never made these before and didnāt know how long it would take so I made our dinner during naptime today š¤
These are SO EASY! You just need one roll of puff pastry, a tub of garlic and herb soft cheese, a little oil and one and a half chicken breasts to make three. They are huge! We will likely have one each and my toddler be offered half of one. But we will be very, very full š
I unrolled the puff pastry and cut into three pieces. Then I took each piece and spread garlic and herb soft cheese on half of each. Then I chopped up 1.5 raw chicken breasts and put them on top of the soft cheese to make a chickeny layer on each. Then I followed the rest of the soft cheese on top of the chicken layer and closed the pastry over. Then I put a little oil on each and poked a hole in the top š
I cooked them at 30 mins at 200 degrees c in a fan assisted oven. They came out beautiful! Be sure to pinch the top and bottom layers together quite tightly as they do leak a bit. They would be best cooked on baking paper but I didnāt have any so I just used foil. It was fine š
Iām really happy with these, I would make them again exactly as is but you could also do them with chunks of ham or anything really with either normal soft cheese or the garlic one I used. I might try doing one big one instead next time so itās easier to portion, like a beef Wellington? š„§
