Mornings on the river.
All the years, I was a night owl and late riser... But in the last few years I have enjoyed a good sunrise, and if it comes to paddling or hiking I am more than happy to wake up at 4am to get out there super early.
This was the last day of 2019, and what better way to end off a year (while on a 5, day paddling trip) than to kick-start the day with a sunrise hike up to the top of the hill across the river from our campsite to catch sunrise looking back up the river (and tomorrow I will share the downriver view). Makes the early start well worth it, and gets the blood flowing and keeps the legs moving ahead of sitting in a kayak for a few hours.
