The sun motif is a recurrent pattern in my art. It is differentiated between three colours: red, gold and black. Each sun and its colour variant has relevance to something in my life.
Originally, I came across of the red sun in a dream at a time when xelasoma was mutating into a fully-fledged project with its own aesthetic and conceptual identity. The red sun, which lingers at the horizon between night and day is therefore a symbol of transition and metamorphosis between phases of life.
This year will see the dawn of a new red sun!
