White Pocket: The white brain rock that seems to lie like icing over the very typical oxidized iron colours of this area is theorized to have been caused by a massive sand slide from a giant ancient sand dune, caused by an earthquake during the Jurassic times. The bacon like under layer is thought to be the result of soft sediment deformation, by which saturated sand was contorted, stirred, and twisted before it turned into solid Rock. I took one geology course in University, one of the labs required eating dirt. Seriously rubbing sediment on your teeth to see the grit difference between, silt, clay, and sand.
