Friday November 29, it’s the most wonderful time of the year!! There’s something magical about this time of year, isn’t there? When my son was little we were, of course, focused on Christmas Day and the arrival of Santa Claus, but as he’s gotten older the focus is less on that one day and more about the season as a whole. I find that’s so much more beautiful, as it allows me to truly savor the things that only happen at this time of year. We enter the season full of joy, and with many expectations that can make us feel other. Others are happy, others aren’t alone, others have more money, others ..... you understand. It’s hard to live up to the hype, so I’m going to remind myself that it’s ok if I’m not living like a Hallmark movie every day of the season. The memories of the season that I carry aren’t usually the larger than life moments, but the smaller ones-baking cookies with my family, sitting in front of our fireplace with the soft lights of the Christmas tree lighting the room- these are the moments that feed me all year round. So, dolls, I hope you’ll remember that Christmas is found in the small things, and in the giving. I’ll be right here reminding myself of the same thing! A most merry friday to you all!
