They never tell you how hard motherhood really is. A lot of days, they drive me absolutely bonkers... but then a lot of days my heart could just explode from all the love I have for each of them. They were perfectly made by Him and I feel so lucky that He chose me to be their mama. They just keep growing up before my eyes and oh how I just wish time would slow down. It’s so easy to get caught up in this busy season and just get frustrated and feel like you want to throw in the towel. Half the time I feel like I’m totally sucking at this mom gig... because dang this threenager tests me🥴 Amiright? Am I even a good mom? Did I get a little too impatient when I should’ve shown a little more grace? Do I pay enough attention to them? What the heck am I even doing? All the things that run through our heads at some point or another. But the truth is, all they want to do is spend time with YOU. You can nit pick at all the little things that you think you’re doing wrong and mess up over and over, but truthfully, they probably don’t even have a clue. Give yourself some grace mama! They just want YOU. Your undivided attention showing them that you are there 100% with them in the moment. So while I find myself saying yes to a lot more to the things I normally wouldn’t say yes to, like staying up 30 minutes passed bedtime to circle all the things in the Target Christmas catalog 😉, I’m realizing just how sweet these little moments are... and also how fleeting they are. I just wish I could bottle them all up for when they grow up so I can look back on these times and say YES it was dang hard, but YES I was there, YES I gave them my 100%, YES I did the best I knew how and YES those were the best days. .
