I picked up this bottle from the chateau outside Saint-Émilion last year. Chateau Le Chatelet is a Grand Cru meaning the highest ranking in France and this wine is their “finest” wine so will cost you more than a few Big Mac meals but it is something special and drinking it is a worthy occasion in its own. This wine should of course have been stored in a nice wine cellar for another 10-20 years but I don’t have one and I’m way to impatient so I just had to open it (waited over a year so at least that’s something). It needs a bit of time to open up but then you get a lovely wine. Cherry and black fruits, earthy and very strong tannis. Very good but should get a cellar to store my wine in. Let’s see what Santa brings...
